BGC Yorkton is moving the Middle Years Centre!
BGC Yorkton has some exciting news to share! Our Middle Years Centre for children in Kindergarten to age 12 is moving! That’s right – we are leasing a new home to better suit our Members, our needs and our budget! Here’s what you need to know…
- Who does the move affect? This move affects our participants up to the age of 12 who currently attend Club at 54A Smith Street West (our upstairs unit). Youth ages 12-18 who attend the Teen Centre (basement unit) are unaffected. Also, our offices will remain at 54C Smith Street West.
- What if my child(ren) arrive(s) by bus? Some school bus routes currently make a stop at our Smith Street location. We have contacted Christ the Teach Catholic Schools and Good Spirit School Division so that the busses serving our current location will now stop at the new location instead! So if you arrived via the St. Michael’s/St. Alphonsus bus or the Dr. Brass bus, there is no need to worry. For inquires regarding bus routes/stops for all other schools, please contact your relevant school division office. BGC Yorkton is not able to make transportation arrangements.
- When is the move taking place? We will open the doors to our new home on Monday, September 8th, 2025 at 3:30pm! There will be no programming on September 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th, so please make other arrangements! After School Program hours remain the same – 3:30pm-5:30pm. Details for evening programs will be announced in late August. Registration forms for all 2025-2026 School Year services will be available by the end of August as well. Watch our socials for details!
- Where is the new location? Our new location is 78 First Avenue North – just a hop, a skip and a jump away from our current location! The building formerly housed the New Horizons Seniors Centre and is nestled in between SecurTek and Free My Muse.
- How do I contact the Club? Our daytime office number remains the same at 306-783-2582. During program hours, our on-site cell number remains the same at 306-621-8988.
Participants can expect the same great experience in our new and improved location! This new space will help us to further fulfill our Mission to provide a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life! It will also further the strategic direction of BGC Yorkton set out by our Board of Directors and Senior Leadership. We look forward to welcoming your child(ren) back on September 8th!
